Quality of Care and Outcomes Research Conference

Healthcare researchers are becoming increasingly focused on developing novel intervention strategies to produce improved health outcomes. The Quality of Care and Outcomes Research (QCOR) conference is an opportunity to discuss and demonstrate the effect of unique interventions on health and wellbeing. QCOR sessions and presentations emphasize the importance of social and environmental factors and a renewed commitment to addressing these determinants of health.

The Lincoln Project demonstrated the demographics of the OHPND cohort, which represents a community of people who are socially and medically underserved. Intervention will require a reliance on community resources and innovative dissemination strategies in order to improve health outcomes in these areas. A subset of OHPND victims could be used as a cardiovascular disease registry to target communities at high risk for cardiovascular related illnesses.
